Today’s students are focused on higher achievement and a more rigorous academic career with college classes beginning earlier in high school than ever before. Yet, students in Currituck still found time to be kind and share with students in need. Currituck County Schools is pleased to share that schools across the county collected school supplies, toiletries, pet food, non-perishable food, bottled water and more for Hurricane Florence victims.
Students from Currituck County High School, along with Science Teacher Kim Mawhiney, visited Craven County to deliver supplies collected at CCHS and Shawboro Elementary School.
FFA students, also from CCHS, collected supplies and drove to deliver them personally to Robeson County’s Purnell Swett High School Agriculture Department.
J.P. Knapp Student Government members also collected items and delivered them to a fellow Early College High School in New Bern. Students boarded a bus and spent the day in New Bern.
In a world where one can be anything, be kind; and Currituck Students are doing just that.
