Our school district is committed to providing resources to all students and families to ensure emotional well-being, healthy living, and wellness in all aspects of one’s life.

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
Whether facing mental health struggles, emotional distress, alcohol or drug concerns, or just need someone to talk to, 988 Lifeline counselors are available.

Integrated Family Services
Integrated Family Services, a Currituck County Schools partner, provides a Crisis CHAT line that offers online emotional support 24 hours a day. This resource is available for all staff, students, parents, family, and friends.
Trained chat specialists are available to assist individuals who are depressed, going through a hard time, need to talk, or having thoughts of hurting themselves. Any life issues may be discussed utilizing the Crisis CHAT line.
Integrated Family Services’ Crisis CHAT line aims to help you, and others reduce stress and feel empowered to make healthy decisions.

Say Something Anonymous Reporting System
Middle and high school students in Currituck County Schools may also utilize the “Say Something Anonymous Reporting System” (SS-ARS).
This program, which fulfills the mandate requirement under 115C-105.51 of NC Law, teaches students, teachers, and administrators how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, of individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and Say Something to a trusted adult OR use the anonymous reporting system.
Students and school staff receive information and training on the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System.

Online Mental Health & Wellness
ParentGuidance.org is an online service by licensed therapists that provides trusted and specialized courses, professional support, and a safe community for parents to learn how to support their children and get answers to mental health questions.
