• Sandra Reynolds - AIG Consulting Teacher
     My family at Dixie Caverns.
I was born and raised in Currituck County.  I am a product of the Currituck County School System.  I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Old Dominion University in 1995.  I earned my Master of Science degree in Education from Old Dominion University in 1997.  I earned my Master of School Administration degree from East Carolina University in 2006.  I am locally endorsed to teach Academically and Intellectually Gifted students.  I live in Moyock with my husband, Brad, and our children, Jordan and Joseph, who attend Currituck County High School.
I began teaching 6th grade at Lake Taylor Middle School in Norfolk, Virginia in 1996, then transferred to Knotts Island Elementary.  After our daughter was born, I transferred to 6th grade at Moyock Elementary to work closer to home.  I then served as Instructional Coordinator at both J.P. Knapp School (1 year) and Moyock Elementary Schools (5 years).  I then requested to return to the classroom and taught 5th grade at J.P. Knapp School, which transitioned into Shawboro Elementary.  Beginning with the 2014-2015 school year, I accepted the position of AIG Consulting Teacher at both Shawboro and Dr. W.T Griggs Elementary Schools.  I look forward to teaching the AG/IG/AIG students at both schools and collaborating with parents and staff to help students reach their fullest potential.
