Welcome to 4th Grade with Ms. Osmon!
I am happy to be in my 13th year at Jarvisburg Elementary School! I grew up in Nags Head, NC, and graduated from Manteo High School. I attended college at the University of North Carolina in Asheville, earned a BS in Health and Wellness Promotion, and minored in Sociology. After graduating, I realized my true calling was teaching. I re-enrolled at UNCA to earn a K-6 Teaching License. I returned to the beach in 2012 to begin my career at JES. The beach is my home and I love working in Currituck County!
In my classroom, I strive to provide all students with a happy, positive, and productive learning environment. I always learn from my students, making me a better educator. JES is a wonderful place for students to learn and grow! I look forward to building lasting relationships with them and their families each year!
I feel it is important to keep learning and growing throughout life. In December 2017, I earned my National Boards Teaching Certification specializing in Early Childhood Education/Ages 3-8 and recently re-certified. I graduated from Elizabeth City State University's Masters of Elementary Education program in May 2021.
Reading is one of my favorite hobbies! I try to pass on my love of reading to students. I am also passionate about living a healthy, active lifestyle! I love walking, biking, and doing yoga in my free time. My favorite pastime is spending quality time with my friends and family. My family means so much to me!
This is going to be a great school year! 4th grade is an excellent place to be!
I love our 4th grade team!
