Dr. Donna Corbo, Media and Technology SpecialistOriginally from New York, I have been living in Currituck since 1986. I received my Bachelor's degree from Elizabeth City State University in 1992 in Elementary Education. From there, I continued my education and received a Master's degree from East Carolina in 1997 also in Elementary Education. During this time I taught Kindergarten, first and second grade. In 2000, I earned a Master's degree from East Carolina University in Library Science. During 2002 I earned my National Board Certification. In 2012 I renewed my National Board Certification.I completed the requirements for my doctoral program at Northcentral University earning a doctorate in education in 2014. I successfully defended my dissertation titled "A Qualitative Study on Student and Teacher Perceptions Utilizing Interactive Whiteboards in Middle School Classrooms." I truly believe in life long learning!I have been in education for 27 years, this is the eighth year I have been a Spartan. I am proud to be part of the Spartan family and look forward to coming to school everyday and serving the students at JP Knapp as a media and technology specialist.

In my off time I enjoy spending time with my husband Ken and our adult children and grandchild. Additionally I love spending time with my rescue dogs, Gunner, Snoopy, Baxter, and rescue kitty, Portia.
