     Mrs. Dana Newbern - teacher
     I am a Currituck County native, and I live in Jarvisburg, N.C.   I received my Bachelor's Degree from Elizabeth City State University of North Carolina. After student teaching at Griggs, I began teaching third grade in January of 1997. I currently have a license in Elementary Education (k-6) with local AIG training. This is my twenty-seventh year in education. I taught third grade for 23 years and second grade for four.  I am a graduate of Currituck County Public Schools, and I am proud to teach in a county where my parents, grandparents, husband and children were students.
