Ms. Libretto
    Reading Recovery & Title I
My name is Ashley Libretto and I am extremely excited to be a Title I Reading Recovery Teacher at Jarvisburg!  I am a 2003 graduate from Manteo High School, and I attended East Carolina University where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy, and my Master's of Arts degree in Teaching (Elementary Education).  I started my teaching career at Shawboro Elementary in 2009 where I taught kindergarten for two years and first grade for four years.  In 2015 I completed my certification in Reading Recovery from UNC Wilmington.  I implemented the classroom model for Reading Recovery for two years in my first grade classroom.  This model required me to teach my first graders, and teach four Reading Recovery children per year.  In 2015, I became a full time Title I/ Reading Recovery teacher.
I absolutely love teaching, but in my spare time I have other activities that I love as well.  I have been riding horses almost my whole life, and that truly is my passion.  I also love painting and drawing in my free time.
I am looking forward to my third year at JES!  This year is going to be such an exciting adventure for all of us!  I am so please to have the opportunity to work with you and your child.
