    SES COMPUTER LAB

My name is Cindy Maziarka. I am excited to be working with your children again this year. I have been in the school system for 25 years and have been working in the computer lab for 15 years. Kaleb my grandson is here at SES.

Even at the elementary level, I feel our kiddos should be exposed to 21st Century Skills such as Learning skills, Literacy skills, and Life Skills. Another component of these skills is Digital Citizenship. I will be using Brainpop and other websites for this. Some of the students will create google slides as a follow up on this. Digital Citizenship will be a topic we discuss throughout our school year.

Many of our students will be using Google Classroom along with other websites to create projects on different topics. They will be using the Paint 3D to do some of their creations in too. We have a number of artistic kids and I have seen it in this program.

Kindergarten will begin with the basics of a desktop computer. They will watch a Brainpopjr video on computer parts. Our students will use Starfall to start off with. Then they will be shown Pbskids and Abcya.

First grade- We will start off using Abcya. In a couple of weeks, they will be shown the paint program to practice their individual student logins they have. I hope to have them start logging into the computers in a few weeks.

Fridays are our freetime day and they can choose to do Minecraft or other things we have done in the lab.

I am using my Symbaloo and Clever (district) for our websites.
