    SES COMPUTER LAB

My name is Cindy Maziarka. I am excited to be working with your children again this year. I have been working with students in the computer lab for the past 14 years. Some here at SES and other years at JP Knapp, before it became an early college.

I want to teach them some of the skills needed for 21st Century Learners such as Collaboration, Creativity, Imagination and Problem solving. Not only these skills, but understanding the importance of being safe on the internet. With everything being digital, safety is the key. This will be ongoing throughout the school year for all grades. My 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes will be using google classroom.

I am using Symbaloo for a lot of my websites we will be using in the lab. I have them listed at the bottom of this page. It is not complete. The kiddos will have to learn to access the computer lab from the school website in order to use symbaloo.

Kindergarten will begin with the basics of a desktop computer. I have a website called Literacy Center they will be using in the lab.

First grade- We will be discussing internet safety and looking at Netsmartz Kids. In a few weeks, they will learn how to log into the computers with our mustang login.

Second grade- We will be discussing internet safety and using brainpop. They will soon learn to log into the computers with their own student accounts.

My 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes will also start off with internet safety. I have several websites on my symbaloo they will use and possibly brainpop.

Fridays are our freetime day and they can choose to do Minecraft or other things we have done in the lab.

If you should have any questions, please email me.
