Welcome to the Computer Lab, my name is Keva Montrose. This is my first year at SES and my first year in North Carolina. This is not my first year in education. Before transisitoning to SES, I worked in Aviation Education with adult learners.  My family is excited to become part of our new community. When I am not at work I enoy spending time with my family, gardening, and traveling.

No matter the grade level, I feel our kiddos should be exposed to 21st Century Skills such as learning skills, literacy skills, and life skills. Another component of these skills is Digital Citizenship. I will be using Brainpop, Common Sense Education, and read alouds from the Webster the Spider Series.  The students will create projects based on their grade level as a follow up to this topic. Digital Citizenship will be a topic we discuss and practice year round.

Our students will be using Google Classroom, Clever, and Code.org along with other websites to build upon the computing knowledge. We will also be using Paint 3D to create artistic projects as well.

Symbaloo and Clever (district) will be utilized primarly for our class websites.

Fridays are freetime day and they can choose to do Minecraft or a variety of other fun computer applications.

If you should have any questions, please email me.
