Hi and welcome to Currituck County Middle School!

A little about me....My name is Ginger Newbern and I have lived in Currituck County all my life. I graduated from Currituck County High School. I attended Elizabeth City State University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 1995. After working several years with children with emotional issues, I returned to college. I received a teaching certification in Special Education and began teaching in Currituck County Schools in 1999.  I was selected as the Exceptional Children's Teacher of Excellence in 2009.  I was named as Currituck County Middle School Teacher of the year for the 2010 - 2011 school year.  In 2010, I became Highly Qualified in the areas of Middle School Mathematics and Middle School Language Arts.  This is my 24th year at Currituck Middle School.
