• Hello artists!  I am Ms. Sara Linehan, art teacher at Currituck County High School.  I am proud to be one of the three visual arts teachers here at CCHS in our ever-expanding arts programs.This semester I am teaching Art I exclusively, but as time passes, I will take on other courses as well.

    I may be a new face here, but some may recognize me from CCHS in the past! After graduating from Penn State University with a Bachelor's in Art Education, I moved to the area in the summer of 2005 and began my career teaching art right here in Currituck County Schools.  I left the area in 2010 for California--I then took 10 years away from teaching as I followed the US Coast Guard from San Diego to Cape Cod, before landing back at home in NE North Carolina.

    I have spent the last two years teaching art at First Flight High School in their thriving art program. In the 'long ago' past, I coached volleyball and swim team at CCHS, but these days I spend my free time chasing around my three young boys--following them in baseball and their life adventures. I am an independent painter and artist--when I can squeeze some time into my schedule. 

    I am looking forward to working with the National Art Honor Society at CCHS, and I am excited to help the art programs grow even stronger here at Currituck County High School--all of your parent and community support is welcomed!
