    Mission Statement

    The mission of the Currituck County High School Counseling Program, in partnership with other educators, parents/ guardians and community stakeholders, is to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program that addresses the academic, personal, social, and career development of all students and ensures that they are self-directed, life-long learners with post-secondary planning. 

    Vision Statement 

    The vision of the Currituck County High School Comprehensive school counseling program is to facilitate equal access to a comprehensive school counseling program for all students, and that the program serves as an integral piece of the overall education experience.

    Kristina Mills-Gregory

    My name is Kristina Mills-Gregory, and this is my 5th year at Currituck County High School. I am originally from Goldsboro, North Carolina. I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and received my degree in Psychology and Communication Studies. While at UNC, I was a member of the Marching Tar Heels, and marched in the inaugural parade for President George W. Bush. I attended Campbell University for my Masters of Education in Counseling. In addition to school counseling, I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC), and have worked in private mental health for several years.

    I am a mother of 4 girls, and enjoy traveling, spending time at the beach, camping, anything Disney, and watching movies.

    This is my third year at CCHS and my third year being a school counselor! I am originally from Kitty Hawk and lived in NYC before moving back to the area. I went to New York University for my undergraduate degree in Psychology and worked in the nonprofit sector before going to NC State to get my masters in School Counseling.

    I enjoy working with young people, helping them with social and emotional needs as well as planning for their futures. I live with my husband in Manteo, and love going to trivia, singing karaoke, and making pizza in my pizza oven!

    This is my fourth year as a School Counselor and first year at Currituck County High School. I recently moved to Currituck from Alaska. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from the University of Alaska Southeast where I majored in Psychology and I have my Master’s in School Counseling from Liberty University. I am a National Board Certified Counselor as well as a National Board Certified School Counselor. My favorite aspect of working with high school-aged students is getting to observe student growth from the freshman year to senior year.

    When I'm not in School Counseling office, you'll find me adventuring in the great outdoors with my family. I'm always up for paddleboarding, hiking, fishing, and exploring.

    Kymberly Fehlberg

    Kymberly Fehlberg, most often known as Ms. Kym has a background in business settings. She has two degrees, Bachelors and Masters, in Business Administration and will soon have a Masters in Education Administration. She also has studies in Psychology and Computer Science.

    Ms. Kym grew up on the Outer Banks, and spent the years following High School traveling the United States to explore the diverse cultures that were offered. Ms. Kym is a loving mother, pet caretaker, and spirit, and hopes everyone she meets feels comfort in her presence.
