• Hey Mustang Families! My name is Amy Lowman and I am so excited to be back here at Shawboro with everyone as the Physical Education teacher! Just a little bit about me: I graduated from Liberty University with my Bachelors of Elementary Education, and decided to stay home with my growing family for a few years. My husband and I have 3 children together, and 2 dogs, who might as well be kids, too! I began here at SES many years ago as an Instructional Assistant, and have worked with many of your children throughout the years.

Last year, I began my journey as the Physical Education teacher, and the rest is history! I absolutely love working with all your children, teaching them how to be physically active and healthy through fun games and exercises and how to work together with their peers. My goal is to provide a student centered environment that focuses on what the students need and want to do to be physically fit and reach their healthy living goals. Physical Education is a very important part of the students week and I hope to continue to facilitate a love for exercise through all the students here at SES and in our community.

I also want to take this opportunity to introduce my wonderful assistant, Chris Carroll. Mr. Carroll is joining us again this year, and we are so happy to continue providing a safe and fun learning environment for our students together.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me through email (alowman@currituck.k12.nc.us) or via your students Dojo. You can also call the school and leave a voicemail and I will get back to you as soon as possible!

Looking forward to another great year for the 2023-2024 school year!
