Dr. Alethea Allen-McDougald
Dr. Allen-McDougald's professional history involves 20 years of experience as a special educator with Bertie High school for one year and the Richmond County and Columbia County Public School System in Augusta and Evans, GA respectfully for a combination of 19 years. She has a BA degree in Psychology/Social Work, M. Ed. in Special Education, and an Ed. D. in Organizational Leadership. Dr. Allen completed ABA courses at the graduate level at Nova Southeastern University and is registered with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and with the National Provider Identifier (NPI) as a Developmental Therapist. Dr. Allen-McDougald is also a Clinical Supervisor with Western Governors University; her duties are to mentor and evaluate student teachers. She previously held the following positions: Part-time University Research Instructor with the University of Phoenix/Columbia SC campus, a part-time University Supervisor with Walden University, and part-time Regional Reviewer/Reader with AdvancEd. In addition, Dr. Allen-McDougald served on several state and district accreditation panels for Advanc-ed for which she found rewarding. She is also an experienced federal and state peer reviewer who has provided services for agencies such as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Election Assistance Commission, U.S. National Corporation of Community Service, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), GA Department of Education and NY Department of Education. Personally, Dr. Allen-McDougald is a newlywed, has three adult children, 6 grandchildren with one on the way, a great-grand child on the way and two pit bulls!
