• Welcome to 3rd Grade!

    My name is Mrs. Nixon and this is my 16th year teaching.  I began my career teaching 5th grade at Moyock Middle School, after two years I went to Moyock Elementary School and taught 4th grade, fifth grade and two years teaching a 4/5 combo class.  I am so exctited to be starting year 16 at Shawboro Elementary!  

    I am proud to say that I grew up in Currituck County and gradated from Currituck County High School.  I completed my Bacholor's Degree in Elementary Eduation from Chowan Univerity.  I also have a Master's Degree from Gardner Webb Univeristy in Executive Leadership Studies.  

    When I'm not at school I am a wife and mother to my wonderful daughter Maggie.  Maggie will be starting Kindergarten this year at SES!  We are so excited to be starting this new adventure together!
