• Hello, my name is Kaitlin Boyer and I am a Second Grade teacher at Shawboro Elementary School. This is my fourth year teaching and my second year at Shawboro teaching Second Grade. I am so excited to join the SES family this year. I previously taught Kindergarten with Virginia Beach City Public Schools for the past two years, one year was all virtual.

    I am a born and raised Texan and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. I moved to Virginia in 2015 to be with my husband who is currently serving in the Navy. We are expecting our first child, a son named Hank in November of this year! We also have two dogs, Bear and Kahne, who are frequently a part of my classroom lessons. My hobbies include reading, cooking, spending time with my husband and family, and being outside with my dogs. 

    I am so thankful to be your child's teacher this year. I look forward to making a classroom family and having an amazing year in Second Grade!
