    Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year at Currituck County High School!
    My name is Savanna Dean and I am the Life Skills EC Teacher.
     
    I was born and raised in Dare County and received my bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. This is my 14th year teaching, all of which have been at Currituck High School. I love teaching and I care deeply about each of my students.
     
    The main goals of my course are helping students succeed in modified academic areas, daily living skills, community skills, vocational skills, communication and socialization skills, and gaining overall independence. Over the course of this year, we will work towards state standard goals, individual goals, and functional life skills goals.
