• Welcome to Second Grade at Central Elementary School.

My name is Angela Blocher and I have been teaching for 25 years. I relocated to North Carolina three years ago, so this is my fourth year at Central Elementary. Previously, I taught art, fifth grade and kindergarten in Indiana; Pre-K second grade and was a Curriculum Coach in South Carolina. After teaching for ten years, I decided to extend my learning and I gained my first master's degree in Education and Administration. While working as a curriculum coach in South Carolina, I decided I wasn't done learning and gained another master's degree in Instructional Technology and continued on to receive my Education Specialist Degree for Instructional Technology as well.

I have two amazing children, Bailee and Ethan. Bailee is currently a freshman in college and Ethan is a junior at CCHS. I have an amazing partner, John, who has been by my side for almost ten years.

I believe ALL children can learn and it is my duty to find the "recipe" each holds to be successful.

Central Elementary School is committed to students achieving academic proficiency through rigorous, standards-based instruction.

Central's vision is to engage, educate and empower every child, every day.
