• Hello! I'm Miss Hagedorn

Welcome to room 300! I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this school year. Teaching is something that I have always been very passionate about and I am so delighted to be apart of the amazing Shawboro team this year! I am eager to meet all of your amazing kiddos.

A little background about myself. I graduated from University of Missouri.- St.Louis with a bachelors degree in Elementary and Special education. I have spent the past five years working with students in different educational settings. Last year I spent time volunteering for a program called Team Sports for Special Kids (TASK) which is an organization that provides different athletic and social programs for students with special needs.

I have lived most of my life in Missouri, but recently relocated here to North Carolina to be closer to family. I live here with my amazing Fiancé, my three-year-old son, and our two cats. A fun fact about me is that I have three chickens and their names are Walrus, Shaky, and Peep Peep. In my free time I love to go to the beach, read new books, and spend time with my family.

This is my first year at Shawboro Elementary School teaching Expectational Children. I absolutely love teaching. I want to make sure our room is a place where everyone feels welcome and like they truly belong. I look forward to creating our classroom community together. I cannot wait for us all to be back together in the classroom. I look forward to a great year together!

    Sincerely,

    Miss. Hagedorn
