I was born in Manchester, England, and emigrated to the United States in 2000.  I became a US citizen in 2008.  I earned my Bachelors in English from Sheffield Hallam University, my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (English) from the University of Sheffield, and my Masters in Careers Education from Nottingham Trent University.  I am a National Board Certified Teacher (ELA) with over twenty six years of teaching experience in both here in the States, and in England.

I love to read, travel with my family, and to share that love of reading with my students. 

I seriously believe that reading is the key to success in all subjects.
