    My name is Mrs. Sawyer. I have been privileged to be the Art Teacher at Moyock Elementary and Shawboro Elementary since the 2017-2018 school year. I am excited to announce that beginning August 2022, I will only be teaching at Shawboro Elementary. I graduated from Longwood University with my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a concentration in Graphic Design. I have completed the NCTEACH Program through East Carolina University.

    I have a passion for art and working with children. I am excited to combine my passions and inspire young artists. I was blessed growing up with a positive art teacher throughout my entire early education, who taught us to always try our best and never give up. I look forward to working with all the students, exploring art throughout history and experimenting with different tools and mediums.
