Hello Students and Parents!
A Little About Me: Last December, my husband and I welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Chloe into the world. Watching her grow and learn new things is definitely my favorite pastime. I grew up in Camden, NC and currently live there. My husband and daughter are my world. Chloe was born in December of 2018 and it is such a joy being her mom. I love the outdoors and enjoy traveling to the mountains any chance that I get. I graduated from Elizabeth City State University as the valedictorian ("Bearer of the Mace") of my class with a Bachelor of Science Degree. I majored in mathematics and minored in Secondary Education. I lived in Concord, NC for two years for my husband to go to college, but then quickly moved back home. While it was a great experience, city life is not for me. :) While in Concord, I taught at Central Cabarrus High School, which was a STEM school. There, I learned how to teach using a Problem/Project-Based Learning approach, where students lead in the classroom. Upon returning home, I worked at Northeastern High School in Elizabeth City, NC. I remained there until I was offered the job to work at JP Knapp Early College.
I am super excited about this opportunity and can't wait to work with all of you!
