• Welcome to Driver Education at J.P. Knapp!  

     

    Driver Education Overview

    • Each school year, a fall session course and a spring session course is held at J.P. Knapp.

    • Students must be 14 1/2 on the day the class starts.

    • Students are placed in Driver Education classes based on their age (oldest to youngest).

    • Classes are held Monday-Thursday from 3:20-6:20 P.M. in the J.P. Knapp Media Center. Students must be able to attend all classes. Missing more than one class will likely result in being dropped from the class.

    • Students and their families are responsible for making transportation arrangements home if enrolled in the course.

    • Registration forms are shared with students via email, and forms will be linked here (during the enrollment period before the class starts).

    • Registration forms are due by the assigned deadline to be considered for the upcoming course.

    • Spaces are limited and students are encouraged to return registration forms in a timely manner.

    • Payments for the course are made to the Driver Education Instructor on the first day of the course. Please see the registration form for specific details regarding costs and acceptable forms of payment.

    • Students will be notified, via email, confirming their spot in the class.
