My name is Nicole Derby and I am excited to be starting another new year as School Counselor! Just a little about myself: I graduated from Currituck County High School and went on to attend UNC (Go Heels!), Elizabeth City State University, and Capella University where I earned my Master's in School Counseling. I have four amazing children, one precious granddaughter and two crazy chihuahuas! I love to volunteer at my church, read a good book, and spend the day at the beach! I am a die hard Tar Heel for life!
I find that many parents and guardians are not exactly sure what the school counselor does so I found a helpful graphic:
I look forward to working with you and your students to make this a great school year!
My schedule this year:
Monday and Tuesday I will be at JES
Wednesday and Thursday I will be at GES
Fridays JES/GES
