Meagan Lupton, MA/CAS
Nationally Certified School Psychologist
Hello! My name is Meagan Lupton and I am a school psychologist serving the amazing families and staff of Currituck County Schools. As a school psychologist, I get to apply various skills to help students succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally through one-on-one services as well as collaboration with school personnel, parents, caregivers, and community professionals. I am so lucky that I get to help create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for the remarkable students of Currituck County.
A little about me:
I am married to my husband, Corey, who is a member of the U.S. Coast Guard. Together, we have two daughters, Emma and Ivy.
I attended East Carolina University’s NASP accredited School Psychology program where I obtained my Master of Arts degree and Certificate of Advanced Study, placing my skills at the Education Specialist level. During my first year working as a licensed School Psychologist, I obtained my national certification, which speaks to my skill level and dedication to continuing professional development. Though raised in Elizabeth City, NC, I spent my first three years working as a school psychologist in Kodiak, AK. While working in Kodiak provided me with many invaluable experiences and lifelong friends, I am excited to be back home serving members of my community.
This academic year:
My home office is within the Preschool Center, located next door to Central Elementary School. I will be directly serving Central Elementry, Knotts Island Elementary, and Shawboro Elementary while working on the district team to serve our secondary schools. Due to frequent travel between schools, the best way to reach me will likely be by email: mlupton@currituck.k12.nc.us.
Have a wonderful school year!
