Meagan Lupton, MA/CAS
Nationally Certified School Psychologist
Hello! My name is Meagan Lupton and I am a school psychologist serving the amazing families and staff of Currituck County Schools. As a school psychologist, I get to apply various skills to helping students succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally through one-on-one services as well as collaboration with school personnel, parents, caregivers, and community professionals. I am so lucky in that I get to help create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for the remarkable students of Currituck County.
A little about me:
I am married to my high school sweetheart (cheesy, I know), Corey, who is a member of the U.S. Coast Guard. Together, we have a daughter, Emma, who turned two this past March (2019).
I attended East Carolina University’s NASP accredited School Psychology program where I obtained my Master of Arts degree and Certificate of Advanced Study, placing my skills at the Education Specialist level. During my first year working as a licensed School Psychologist, I obtained my national certification, which speaks to my skill level and dedication to continuing professional development. Though raised in Elizabeth City, NC, I spent my first three years working as a school psychologist in Kodiak, AK. While working in Kodiak provided me with many invaluable experiences and lifelong friends, I am excited to be back home serving members of my community.
This academic year (2019-2020), my home office will be at Shawboro Elementary School, though I will be serving four additional schools: Central Elementary, Knotts Island Elementary, Moyock Elementary, and Moyock Middle. Due to my frequent travel between schools, the best way to reach me will likely be by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have a wonderful school year!
