Jarvisburg Elementary School

Welcome to Jarvisburg Elementary!

My name is Kristy Ryan and this is my fifth year as an Assistant Principal of Griggs and Jarvisburg Elementary Schools! I am humbled and blessed to be able to continue to serve students, families, and staff at Jarvisburg!

This is my 18th year in education. My first two years were at Moyock Elementary and I spent 11 years at Shawboro Elementary. I am a product of Currituck County Schools (Moyock Elementary School, J.P. Knapp Jr. High, Currituck County High School) and currently reside in Currituck with my husband, Joseph, our sweet sons, Will (8) and Gabe (3)! 

I have earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development and a Birth-Kindergarten Teaching Licensure from Meredith College. I have earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education K-6 from Elizabeth City State University. I also earned a Master's Degree in School Administration from Elizabeth City State University.
