Kevin D. Goins M.Ed.L 

    Mr. Goins is a native of Roanoke, VA. He earned a BA in Liberal Arts with a minor in Elementary Education and concentrations in Biology and Fine Arts from Ferrum College in 1993. In 2011 he earned a Master's in School Administration from Cambridge College . Before moving to GES and JES for the 2017-18 school year, Mr. Goins served as Assistant Principal at Currituck County High School  and Shawboro Elementary School, as well as being the adminstrator in charge of the Currituck County Learning Center.  He has served as a teacher, coach, and athletic director at Currituck County Middle School and the Miller School of Albemarle in Crozet, VA.    Prior to his career in education, Mr. Goins was a shift supervisor (corporal), a member of the search and rescue and dive teams  for the Greene County Sheriff's Department.  Upon moving to the Outer Banks he worked with the Currituck County Sheriff's Department patrolling Corolla.  Mr. Goins is married to his wife Kellie and the proud father of three boys, Hunter, Andrew and Connor.
