What subjects will I be teaching this fall?
Foundations of Math & Math IWhat subjects will I be teaching this spring?
Math IAbout Mrs. Davenport: Born & raised in Jarvisburg, I attended Griggs Elementary, JP Knapp Middle School, the old CCHS for 9th grade, & in 2001 graduated from the new Currituck County High School. I went on to play basketball & softball at Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC, & graduated from Methodist University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Grades Education- concentrations in Math & Science; five years ago I added on my full Mathematics certification making me highly qualified to teach Math in grades 6-12. This is my 14th year teaching Math; six years have been taught at CCHS, and this is currently my 8th year apart of the JP Knapp family. My husband & I have two children, a girl, named Alyssa, whom is seven years old, & a son, named Cruz, whom is four (& a 1/2, haha). My Dad, whom is greatly missed, made me a strong believer in the saying "the harder you work, the luckier you get." I encourage and push my students daily to reach their goals as well as the personal goals that I have set for each of them. If students can remain passionate about learning, success will usually follow.
