Mrs. Charlotte Ludolph, NBCT

Welcome to my page!  This is my 2nd year serving Currituck County Schools as your District Instructional Coach.  I have a family of 5, with two daughters having graduated and entered the workforce.  Our youngest daughter is a sophomore at Manteo High School, where we maintain a home until she completes her schooling.  This was a very busy summer for us, with our oldest graduating from Appalachian State University and our middle daughter coming home from Southeastern University.  We visited Wilmington on family vacation and enjoyed visiting all the One Tree Hill locations.  We also spent time with extended family from Maryland, relaxing at the beach. My proudest moment was helping our oldest daughter open up her first classroom as a teacher in Dare County. I am excited to get back to work here as the 2017-2018 school year unfolds.  In addition to my other responsibilities, I will be returning to school this year to pursue my Educational Specialist Degree.  This process should enhance what I am already doing within our district.

I have greatly enjoyed the role of supporting teachers as they continue to grow in their knowledge of excellent curriculum and instruction.  I serve primarily Jarvisburg, Griggs, and Moyock Elementaries but will see all of the elementary teachers at some time during the year through our districtwide PD.  Professionally, I place a high value on the creative process of teaching, taking my instructional philosophy from constructivist research. I believe in learning through play and discovery. Excitement needs to happen in the classroom.  FUN needs to happen if learning is to unfold.  You produce that excitement by setting an environment rich with learning possibilities.  You encourage your children to explore.  Sometimes it works perfectly and you go home satisfied.  Other days it's a struggle, but YOU are the people who are tasked with the awesome responsibility of engaging our future generation.   Please don't be afraid to TAKE WHAT YOU NEED from me.  I am here to help and support you in the journey.

Yours in Education,
