     Welcome to 7th Grade Math!

     

    My name is Karen Guzinski and this is my 7th year at Moyock Middle School, but my 17th year teaching. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Evansville (Evansville, Indiana) and my Master’s of Education from Western Governor’s University. I also recently became a National Board Certified teacher. My husband and I moved to the area in July 2016 from Louisville, Kentucky.  I am looking forward to a great year teaching 7th grade Math at MMS and look forward to challenging your students and sharing my passion for Math and learning. 

     

    7th Grade Math has a large focus on working with ratios and proportions and expressions and equations. We will also work with rational numbers, percents, geometry, and probability and statistics. This year we will mainly be using Desmos and Delta Math. We will also be adding in a lot of collaborative, hands-on activities! We also have DreamBox as a great addition to our program! Students are expected to complete at least 5 lessons in this program weekly.
