    Mrs. Virginia Schwalen
My educational background is in Art and Science. I hold a BA from Hollins University in both Biology and Studio Art. I hold a BS in Secondary Science Education from Old Dominion University. I am National Board Certified and renewed in 2015. This semester I will be teaching Earth Science and Biology.
My husband and I have lived in Currituck for 29 years. We have two grown children who graduated from CCHS. In the last few years we have made an effort to grow a good bit of our food on our little piece of Currituck and I look forward to sharing some of these practical applications of sustainable agriculture with my students.
