Honors classes move faster, and are more in-depth, and appreciate greater complexity than standard classes. That means that you will learn a broader, more contextualized, more richly detailed version of the subject, and be much more ready to study at a college level. In fact, honors courses are meant to prepare you for college-level writing and thinking.
Honors English III: we study the author’s craft in literary and informational genres; we compare genres; and we develop analytical skills to improve writing. Throughout Honors English III we integrate increasingly sophisticated language skills within the writing process.
