• Hello! I'm Ciara Caro and I work in Student Services and Data Management. 

    After graduating from Knapp in 2016 and from College of the Albemarle with an Associate's in Science, I graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor's in Biology and a minor in History and from Old Dominion University with a Master's of Arts in History. At these schools, I found that history and books in general are my passions and I love being in libraries and interacting with students. My favorite period of history is the Atlantic World from the 18th to 19th century, but I can talk just about anything related to history! Being a lover of history, I am an avid reader and my tastes vary far and wide. My own personal collection of books sits at about 300 volumes deep and I am always looking to pick up new titles to expand it. 

    I currently sponsor the J.P. Knapp's Book Club. 

    Besides history and books, I am an enthusiastic hockey fan, with my favorite team being the Carolina Hurricanes! When I have free time, I try to either go to hockey games, spend time outdoors with family and friends, build Lego sets, or watch TV shows like The Office, The Witcher, and The Last Kingdom.
