Central Elementary School

I am elated to be the new Assistant Principal of Central Elementary.  My family resides in Moyock.  I am a wife and mother of two boys who attend school here in Currituck.  Last year, I joined Currituck County Schools teaching over at Moyock Middle School.  My previous 8 years of experience in education took place in the Virginia Beach Public Schools in which I held many different  leadership positions.  Department, Subject and Grade Level Chair, and Teacher Mentor, just to name a few.  Through those leadership positions, I decided to pursue and complete a Masters of Science in Educational Leadership through Old Dominion University.  My Bacholers of Art degree is in Elementary Education through Pfeiffer University. As everyone's journey through life and work is different, so was mine.   Prior to teaching,  I was in the financial industry for 12 years where I administered as a bank manager, assisted customers as a financial consultant, private banker, and conducted merger training.  These experiences have led me to this leadership position. As an educator and Assistant Principal, I believe that every learner deserves to have a multi-faceted education; one that is filled with love, understanding, and knowledge while encompassing the whole child.
