Welcome to CCHS home of the Knights!!Hello Knights family!! I am Nikki Broome, BSN, RN, NCSN (although many kids call me "Nurse Nikki"). This is my fifth year with Currituck County Schools and my third year being a proud member of the Currituck HS Knight family! One thing I'd like you to know about me is that I genuinely love being a school nurse. Please feel free to call me with any questions you may have throughout the year. Your child's health is my main focus, and I value good communication!I am available via phone: (252) 453-0014 ext.3017or email: email@example.comThis chart provides a good reference for when to keep your child home from school, and when they can return after an illness. Please remember, by keeping your child home when they are sick, not only will they heal faster, but it will also be helping to reduce the spread of illness around the school and throughout the community.SCHOOL MEDICATION POLICYPer school board policy NO SCHOOL MAY ADMINISTER ANY MEDICATION WHICH INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: TYLENOL, IBUPROFEN, ANY PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION. If at any time your child will require any medication to be taken during school hours they MUST have the Permission to Administer form (see link below) filled out by physician. There are NO exceptions to this policy. Your child may not carry any medication on themselves unless this form is on file in my office. If they are caught with any medication on them there will be consequences, up to suspension, depending on administrators' decisions. Please print off this form and take it with you if you think the Doctor may prescribe any medication to be given at school (think about pain reliever, Midol, etc.). There is also a form for permission to self-carry a medication (see link below). This form must also have a physician's signature.CCHS RANDOM DRUG TESTING POLICYRandom Drug Testing Policy
