    Hello from Mrs. Hughes

     

     
     
    I am so excited to be your child's 6th grade math teacher! This will be my 10th year teaching in Currituck County. This year, I am the mother of an 8th grader, at Moyock Middle School! Parents, we're in this together :) I am also a Cross Country and Track coach, here at MMS
     Prior to teaching at MMS, I taught at MES for 7 years, coaching our Math 24 team for all 7 years. I also taught at Central Elementary, in Barco, and at Corporate Landing Elementary, in Virginia Beach. 
    I earned my Bachelors degree, in Business Administration, from Tarleton State University, in Stephenville, TX.
    I completed my Masters program, at Regent University, in Virginia Beach, VA. My teaching certification is Pre-K through 6th grade in all areas and Pre-K-9, in some middle school content areas.
    I am so looking forward to working with your child. This will be their first year in middle school. I plan to make it a GREAT one!
