School Counselors
School Counselors are vital members of the educational team. They play an essential role in promoting a school culture that serves to educate the whole child. A comprehensive guidance program should include helping students:
• Apply academic achievement strategies
• Manage emotions and apply interpersonal skills
• Strengthen mental wellness and
• Explore and plan for post-secondary options such as higher education, military and workforce.

School Social Workers
School Social Workers are trained to provide support and services to address barriers impacting the social, emotional, academic, and physical needs of all students.
• School Workers can provide services to students who:
• May be experiencing homelessness
• May have chronic absenteeism or truancy issues
• May be transitioning between school and treatment programs, foster care, or the juvenile justice system
• Are at high-risk of dropping out of high school
• Have behavioral or mental health challenges
