Student Transfer Requests


    The window to submit Student Transfer 

    Requests for the 2024-2025 School Year is CLOSED.


    Please Note: Due to the population growth in Currituck County, CCS administration may deny all transfer requests to certain schools. To adequately plan and address staffing needs, the district will not accept Student Transfer Requests after the deadline. Out-of-zoned students will be returned to assigned school if the request form is not received by the May 1st deadline. Parents who miss the May 1st deadline will have the opportunity to submit a request for the next school year (2025-2026).

    This form should be used if you are requesting enrollment in a school located outside of your zone. Completed forms must be submitted to the Administrative Offices located at 2958 Caratoke Highway, Currituck, NC  27929 by May 1st for the new school year. Parents can expect a response to their requests by June 30th.


    Requests received after the May 1st deadline will not be accepted.  Parents who missed the May 1st deadline will have the opportunity to submit a request for the next school year (2025-2026).  


    Please understand that student enrollment numbers and individual classroom sizes are considerations and may cause student transfers to be denied or rescinded regardless of previous attendance or past approvals.


    Transportation is not provided for students who attend school outside of their assigned school zone. It will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure students are transported in accordance with the school's schedule.


    A new request must be submitted for each new school year. The deadline for submitting a request is May 1st - prior to the new school year. 


    The principal may recommend a transfer to be revoked at any time for violation of attendance, tardiness, and discipline policies.
