• Science Around the House   Science is all around your house. You can easily teach science to your child. Watch a weather report and talk about it. Observe and talk about the weather outside. You may have an outside thermometer, rain gauge, or a weather station.

The kitchen is a wonderful place to learn about matter. You have to go in there anyway. Water running out of the tap is a liquid. When you boil it, the steam is a gas. Water as a solid is ice. Leave a cube on the counter and watch it melt. Matter can change states. Kids love this stuff!

Water has three states. It can be a solid, liquid or a gas. How cool!
