    WELCOME!
         I am thrilled to be teaching third grade this year!   I am blessed to be with such a great team of third grade teachers in this beautiful school.  I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Akron in May 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I earned National Board Certification in 2011.  I began as the Title I reading teacher for third through fifth grade. I have taught second and third grade for the past eighteen years.
         Teaching your child is both a privilege and an enormous responsibility. Having three (grown)children of my own, I understand how important your child's education is to you. I feel it is important to provide a nurturing learning environment where students feel safe to take risks and grow as learners.I look forward to the opportunity of sharing this year with you and your child. I hope that your child's year with me is memorable and full of growth.
