Project Management Course Description
Project management is a distinct body of knowledge used in many business settings. It involves the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements. Although it has been practiced since early civilization, project management began to gain popularity as an academic discipline in the 1950’s. Begun as an approach to complex engineering projects, it is now applicable to a wide range of industries, including construction, engineering, software development, healthcare, marketing, and agriculture.
The course will allow you to learn about the flow of a project and how to be a part of a team and how to manage that team.
We will study the following units:
1.00 Understand the Framework of Project Management
2.00 Understand Project Integration
3.00 Understand Scope Management
4.00 Understand Time Management
5.00 Understand Cost Management
FINAL EXAM
There is a final exam at the end of the course. It is a 100 question exam given by NC. This final is 20% of the final grade.
This course also includes a community service project.
