Background: Currituck County Schools District Strategic Plan (2021-2026)
Strategic planning began in March 2021 in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic. This exercise allowed Currituck County Schools to recognize our strengths and identify strategic areas where investments should be made to address the needs and priorities of the school district.
The development of the plan occurred in partnership with the Currituck County Board of Commissioners, the Currituck County Board of Education, faculty and staff of the school district, parents and guardians, and numerous other community stakeholders. Over several months, ten listening sessions were held with different stakeholders to learn what is working for them and what we can do to expand and improve the quality of services we offer to our staff, students, parents, and community.
Overall, we connected with more than 400 stakeholders and collected over 7,500 data points to design our strategic plan. Currituck County Schools' staff and partners have worked together throughout this strategic planning process to help define our mission and values.
