Hello! My name is Laura Greaver and this is my second year teaching second grade at Moyock Elementary. I am from Grand Rapids, MI and I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (K-6) from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN. Go Bulldogs! After graduation I moved to Fayetteville, NC where I taught first grade for six years with Cumberland County Schools. While living in NC I met my husband who is in the U.S. Army. We have moved a lot during in his career and we have lived in North Carolina twice for a total of ten years, Louisiana, California, Florida, and now Virginia.  I took a ten year break from education and stayed home to raise our three children while we moved around the country. I am so excited to be back in the classroom daily doing what I do best! I love teaching and honestly cannot picture myself truly enjoying any other profession. In my spare time I enjoy watching my favorite hockey and baseball teams, the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers. I love getting out and exploring new areas and activities, playing with my kids, reading, baking, and crafting. I am so glad to be teaching with an amazing team and to have the opportunity to work with wonderful students and families here in Currituck County!
