Currituck County Middle School

Hello!

Please allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Mr. Mitchell Metz.  I teach seventh grade Social Studies.  I am grateful to be so graciously welcomed by your county from the great state of Ohio, where I began my teaching  career some years ago, then moving to our beautiful state of North Carolina.

One of my many passions in life is to play an intricate role in student learning.  I am a graduate of The Ohio State University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in American History with a minor in Geography.  I am also a graduate of Wright State University with a Master of Education in Comprehensive Social Studies for grades 6-12 focusing on Integrated Social Studies and Sciences.

I am truly excited about teaching my favorite discipline this year, being humbly gracious for having been given the opportunity to share my experiences and career in education with the students and parents of Currituck County Middle School.
