    My name is Trisha Richardson, and I will be your child's teacher this year.  I grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia and attended public schools in Chesapeake, VA.  I continued my education and graduated from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA with a BS in psychology and a minor in sociology.

    I then attended Virginia Wesleyan College for my teaching certification.  This will be my 24th year of teaching and have been at Griggs for the past 21 years.  I am also a Nationally Board Certified teacher.  I now consider Currituck my home where I live with my husband and 15-year old son who keeps me very busy.
