Welcome to Pre-K!
My name is Caroline Whatley and I am the Develomental Pre-kindergarten teacher at Griggs. I'm orginially from Charleston, South Carolina and I've always had a passion for preschool. I recieved my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education at the College of Charleston and started out teaching second grade in the Charleston area. I'm so excited to be here in Currituck and teach Developmental Pre-K! My hobbies include going to the beach and reading for pleasure! My teaching philophosy is putting love and care before academics. I believe in order for a student to learn they must first feel safe and loved.
Hello friends! My name is Mrs. Michelle and I am Miss Whatley’s teacher assistant. This is my 5th year in the Developmental Pre-K classroom and I love it! I am originally from Pennsylvania. My family and I have lived in Currituck County for 12 years. My hobbies include gardening and reading! I am so excited to start the school year and begin learning and having fun!
