More National Board Certified Teachers Recognized

Another group of Currituck County teachers earning National Board Renewal this year were recognized during the March Board of Education meeting.  Currituck’s Middle School Instructional Coach and National Board Support Lead, Christy Hodges, provided the board with information on the process for becoming and remaining a National Board Certified teacher.  Currituck County Schools recognized two educators, Mrs. Virginia Schwalen and Mrs. Anita Cotton for earning National Board Renewal this year.

In order to promote and support teachers in becoming National Board Certified, Mrs. Hodges conducts monthly support meetings in the district and travels outside the district to attend training and provide information to others on the value of seeking this certification.
