Elementary Schools Celebrate Reading

Elementary schools across Currituck decided one day to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday and engage in activities that celebrate his books was just not enough.  So a week long schedule was created where special guests were invited to the schools to read, students were invited to dress in their favorite Seuss inspired costumes, as well as eat “green eggs and ham”!  Events were kicked off on March 2nd, with “Read Across America”, the national celebration of reading and Dr. Seuss’ birthday.
