Community use of facilities in the Currituck County School System are governed by Board Policy 2010: Community Schools. In March of 2010, the Currituck County School System adopted a new fee schedule and is now using the following guidelines (Facility Guidelines) to govern the rental of school facilities by community and outside agencies.
The application for renting a facility can be found here: Facility Use Application. Please submit the completed form to the school principal of the site that you wish to rent. Your request will be reviewed and sent to the office of the Superintendent for final approval. Information regarding fees is located here: Facility Fees by School Site . Prior to use, all users must obtain general liability insurance, $500,000 minimum & $1,000,000 for athletic events, naming Currituck County Schools as an additional insured.
Community Schools Partners
If you are a community agency that is interested in becoming a Community Schools Partner, please fill out the Community Schools Partnership Application. Please submit the completed form to the Administrative Office located at 2958 Caratoke Highway, Currituck, NC 27929. This form must be filled out annually to receive Level II renter fee consideration. Following the approval as a Community Schools Partner, agencies will enter into a Community Schools Partner Agreement with Currituck County Schools which will be kept on file for one year.
