TIMS
Bus Safety is a Top Priority!

Each day, the districts 60 experienced bus drivers transport students to school. They travel over back roads, busy highways, bridges, across railroad tracks, and through dangerous intersections to the doors of our schools.

Yet with all this, our system operates one of the safest and most cost-efficient bus fleets in the state.
Bus safety is extremely important. Students riding buses are required to follow bus safety rules. Buses are regularly inspected by an experienced service team.

The first days of the school year are challenging as school personnel determine the quickest and most efficient bus routes. Bus schedules are available from each school. For information on routes, contact the assistant principal or bus coordinator at your childs school. For additional questions, contact Dena Fenton, TIMS Coordinator, at 232-2223, ext. 254.

Employment Opportunities: Bus drivers & Bus Monitors
The Currituck County School District is often seeking individuals who are interested in employment as school bus drivers or bus monitors. For an Application for Employment, visit the "Recruiting" section of this web site, or contact Dena Fenton, TIMS Coordinator, at 232-2223, ext. 254
