As the only traditional, comprehensive high school in the county, our school serves approximately 1,100 students in grades 9-12. We provide to each student an extensive selection of courses and academic programs to choose from, including college preparatory, career and technical education courses, as well as honors and AP courses. Our instructional day operates on a 4x4 block schedule with 85 minutes per class period. In addition to traditional instruction on the 4x4block, a Power Hour offers students a 30 minute lunch period and 30 minutes for other instructional opportunities: tutoring, clubs, special topics, and/or engaging in physical activities or socialization.
This week CCHS students will begin the process of registering for courses for the 2016-17 school year. Students will have access in PowerSchool to select courses. Following that, our guidance department will hold individual meetings with students to review course selections and discuss progress toward graduation.
